For the past year and a half, Praveena Ramaswami, who works full-time as community relations lead for Toyota Motor North America Corporate Communications and is a parent to two kids, has been pursuing her master’s in strategic communication at Michigan State University.
For her, a major benefit of the program has been the discussions and connections she’s made with classmates who work in different fields and have different skillsets. “We learn from each other,” she said.
Ramaswami also enjoys the practicality and applicability of the program. "Rather than it being test driven, it's actually very practical driven, putting you into scenarios and making you think deeper..." she said.
During her time in the program, she's learned about everything from ethics and branding to crisis communication and social media and their impact on this "ever-changing world."
