- TBD, February 2022
Bridge programs like MSU Ignite are critical to student success, particularly for first-generation college students from historically marginalized communities. Over the course of a week, students will design an ad campaign with the direction of ComArtSci faculty. The students will then present their work to their parents and peers, for a chance to display their ad campaign in front of the entire student body at the team’s high school. The program offers students added support, through a variety of mentors and connections created with their peers. In July 2021, 12 incoming freshmen completed this inaugural program and they have continued to share the impact of the program on their college experience. Our goal is to double the number of opportunities for summer 2022 and build a stronger cohort experience throughout the year.

We are seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic undergraduate students to join our team as Program Assistants (PA) for Summer 2022. Ignite Program Assistants (PA) play a vital role in the success of the Ignite program. Program Assistants will assist with the implementation of the various activities during the 5-day program by actively participating, facilitating, and interacting with the participants in program sessions. Program Assistant applications will open in March 2022!
