Street Team students stand holding icons of their skills

Media Sandbox Street Team

Michigan State University Media Sandbox Street Teams are student-run, creative collaborations within the College of Communication Arts & Sciences. These interdisciplinary groups of students partner with local nonprofit organizations and assist them with media projects. Students have real-world learning opportunities while giving back to their community.

During the 2018-2019 school year, 36 students contributed almost 1,800 volunteer hours to nonprofits in the Greater Lansing area.

Street Team members have specific roles, ranging from project management to videography to graphic design. Together, they come up with creative solutions for nonprofit communication challenges.
