CAS 396: Media Sandbox L.A. Field Experience creates networks between ComArtSci students and Spartan alumni in Los Angeles.

  • Do we meet on campus during Spring semester?

    • Yes, there are five mandatory meetings.

  • What are some companies we’ve visited in the past?

    • Fox Sports and Studios, L.A. Times, mOcean, Princess Cruises, AEG Live (sports and events such as Coachella), Deutsch L.A., Warner Bros., NFL Network, Univision, Amazon Studios, Netflix and others

  • How many credits?: This is a one-credit course. 
  • On top of the one credit​​​​​, we suggest students have approximately $2000 saved for L.A. This amount will be used for:
    • A flat rate for bus transportation in L.A. and a place to stay.
      • This group fee is split equally between all participants.
    • Transportation to California
      • Students reserve their own flights.
    • Food and entertainment
      • Typically, activities are finished by 6:00 p.m. You have your evenings to explore the city!
