Three Key Principles to Level Up Your Networking and Hiring Process with Executive Recruiter Roger Tremblay

This past April, Roger Tremblay, the Executive Recruiter of Founding Partner PointClear Search sat down with MSU StratCom’s Program Director, Jason Archer to talk about all things networking, recruiting, and hiring advice.

Tremblay’s media career includes executive roles at The Wall Street Journal, Southern Living, Texas Monthly, Chicago Magazine, Sports Illustrated and Media Networks. He also co-foundedKelly/Tremblay & Co., a regional rep firm based in Dallas. 

Tremblay holds a B.A. and M.A. degree from Michigan State University where he is a very active alum, serving on many boards and local non-profit groups. He’s also mentored numerous M.S.U. students as they embark on new careers. He was honored with the Alumni Service Award by the M.S.U. Alumni Association and was also presented with the Mary Henry Award by the Dallas Chapter of The Dream Fund.

The Three Key Principles

  1. Building and maintaining professional relationships pays off in the long run.
  2. Utilize LinkedIn. It is the place to start and stay active in when it comes of networking.
  3. When being interviewed make sure you come with your own GOOD questions.
