Shared Undergraduate to Graduate (UG2G) Master's Program

The Shared Undergraduate to Graduate (UG2G) Master's Program allows students to complete a bachelor's and master's degree within five years. Undergraduate students may apply to earn credits toward a graduate degree, earning a master's effectively and efficiently.

How Do I Start Preparing for a UG2G Program?

There are a few steps that students need to do starting their junior year to prepare to apply for a Shared Undergraduate to Graduate (UG2G) program.

  1. Any time after you have completed 56 credits, you can fill out the Request for Share Enrollment Status form to indicate your interest in the UG2G program. There is no commitment or cost to submit the form.
  2. You can count up to 9 credits of qualifying 400-level courses towards both your bachelor's and master's degree program. The Request for Shared Enrollment Status form must be completed BEFORE taking these 9 shared credits during your bachelor's program.
  3. In the last year of your bachelor's degree you will apply for the master's degree program for the semester following your bachelor's degree completion.
  • *Undergraduate students from any major can apply to the Shared Undergraduate to Graduate master's programs in the college.
    • E.g. if you complete your undergraduate in fall 2025, you would start your MA program in spring 2026 semester.
  • *Completion of the form does not guarantee admission into the master's program.

Contact the departmental MA program director if you have any questions about the admissions process. More details on the UG2G programs can be found here.
