Amanda Vasas is an assistant instructor teaching writing for public relations, digital storytelling, public relations strategy and crisis communications for the Department of Advertising and Public Relations. She joined the department in 2014 and has served as faculty advisor to AD|Com.
Prior to joining AD+PR, Vasas was communications manager for Marketing Communications at Michigan State University, where she was responsible for copywriting, editing and media relations for the Division of Residential and Hospitality Services. Prior to that, she worked at John Bailey & Associates Inc. Public Relations, contributing to more than 10 client accounts ranging from nonprofit to health care to government.
Vasas is a volunteer with Michigan State University’s WKAR Radio Reading Service and has instructed classes for MSU's Grandparents University. Past freelance writing clients include the MSU Alumni Association and Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Vasas holds a bachelor’s degree in communication and public relations specialization from Michigan State University.
