You are invited to the Michigan State University Health & Risk Communication Day of Innovation. On Friday, November 12th, we will have a panel, a networking luncheon, and the annual Bettinghaus Endowed Lecture with speaker Dr. Jeff Niederdeppe. Dr. Niederdeppe is a Professor and Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Communication at Cornell University. He is Director of Cornell's Health Communication Research Initiative (HCRI) and Co-Directs the Cornell Center for Health Equity (CCHEq).

10:00AM: Innovations and Insights Panel. A panel of professional and academic specialists will discuss the latest trends in health and risk communication. Guests include:

  • Jordan Broderick, Office of Communications & Public Liaison, National Institute of Aging at the National Institutes of Health
  • Aman Sidhu, Consultant; BFA Policy Advisor, Center for Ocean Solutions at Stanford University
  • Dr. Sandi Smith, former Director of the Health and Risk Communication Center and University Distinguished Professor in the Department of Communication at Michigan State University

12:00PM: Lunch to follow the panel.

2:30PM: Join us for the annual Bettinghaus Endowed Lecture, with Dr. Jeff Niederdeppe and his talk: "Exploring the (Many) Ways that Political Communication May Be Making Us Sick."
