Director Miao Wang will screen and discuss "Maineland," a documentary film "that follows two affluent and cosmopolitan teenagers as they settle into a boarding school in blue-collar rural Maine." Wang, a former Chinese international student, will share the production processes and her own stories about acclimating to America as well as do a post show Q&A with the audience.

"Maineland" has won a multitude of awards including the 2017 SXSW Special Jury Award for Excellence in Observational Cinema and the 2017 Independent Film Festival of Boston Special Jury Award. The documentary has also been the official selection of numerous film festivals.
