Lori Anne Dickerson

L.A. Dickerson is a former 12-year Detroit Free Press staff writer who specialized in police reporting and breaking news. She also worked as a sports reporter at the Free Press and the Grand Rapids Press. In 1996, she joined the faculty of the MSU School of Journalism to work closely with the Victims and the Media Program. Dickerson uses examples from her own career to show students it is possible to report on victims with sensitivity and compassion. Dickerson specialized in victim coverage and through MSU, has interviewed crime victims from around the country.
