Bio
Lauren Clayborne is entering her third season as the Director of Community Relations with the Golden State Warriors. In her current role, Lauren is responsible for driving the overall philanthropic efforts for the Warriors in the local community.
With over 15 years of corporate partnership, brand marketing, and social responsibility experience with the NBA, NFL, and Division 1 college athletics. Lauren has developed programs and initiatives that support the Warriors social responsibility pillars of health and wellness, education, civic engagement and public advocacy, and building local sustainable economies. Additionally, her current role focuses on maximizing strategic player engagement in the local community.
A driven leader in the community, Lauren was honored at the 2018 Detroit Young Professionals’ Vanguard Awards, given to individuals growing and excelling in their respective field. She was named a 2017 “Women of Excellence” by the Michigan Chronicle.
Lauren serves as a sports management adjunct professor at University of San Francisco. She is a Board Member for Team Impact and the Michigan State University Communications Arts & Sciences Alumni. Lauren graduated from Michigan State University with her degree in advertising. She enjoys spending time with friends, planning events, fine dining, traveling, reading and shopping. She, of course, loves cheering on her beloved Spartans (Go Green!)
