Concentration in Health Communication

Health communication strategies allow health educators, healthcare systems, communities, government agencies, and others to disseminate health information and positively influence personal health behaviors and choices. Health communication provides students with skills in developing effective health promotion programs and disease prevention interventions and gives students opportunities to participate in health policy advocacy. Students will be able to design and evaluate communication initiatives in interpersonal and community-based contexts across various media platforms, ranging from mass media to mobile technologies.
