Jennifer Orlando Joins StratCom Team

Jennifer Orlando, Administrative Business Analyst

The Strategic Communication M.A. program is growing. Nearing 100 students this summer in two years, the staff is expanding to be able to accommodate the growth.

Jennifer Orlando joins the Strategic Communication M.A. team June 4 as Administrative Business Analyst.  Orlando’s primary responsibility will be to oversee the marketing and recruitment for the program.

I'm excited to contribute to a program that has given me so much," said Orlando, who also is a current strategic communication master's student. "I can't wait to connect with prospective students who are looking for a degree to enhance their careers. This program will provide them with necessary strategic communication skills to not only work creatively but effectively.

Orlando has spent the last seven years as a communications manager at MSU’s Communication and Brand Strategy, the university's central public relations office. In that role, she has led major brand campaigns such as "The Great State Road Trip," helped with strategic brand marketing for the university and wrote for, edited and curated the university's main news site, MSUToday.msu.edu.

Director Jason Archer is excited. "With significant growth in the program, we knew we needed to add a marketing expert who can analyze data, steward our message, and help the program grow. With the addition of Jen to the team, we not only get those skills, but we also get someone with a heart for students and someone who believes deeply in the program and MSU" Learn more about Jen
