J-School grad Ariana Taylor starts internship today at The Detroit News

The Detroit News

Congratulations to J-School student Ariana Taylor, who starts an internship today at The Detroit News.

However, she just wasn't content waiting until her starting date to make her presence felt. Ariana had the lead story in Saturday’s edition (pictured below), with her front page byline on the Kathie Klages trial.

Taylor will work on the breaking news desk. She also has completed internships at the Knoxville (Tenn.) News Sentinel, SB Nation, and Detroit Free Press. Taylor has a special interest in sports journalism.

At MSU, Taylor has served as Treasurer of the MSU chapter for the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ). She also has been President of Crowning Young Queens, an inner-city mentoring organization in Detroit.

Great work, Ariana!
