Luke Capizzo, assistant professor in the Department of Advertising and Public Relations reflects on his experience during the 2026 Spartan Bus Tour through Flint, Saginaw and Bay City. In remarks shared at the tour’s closing reception, Capizzo explored themes of community, public service and the role of higher education in strengthening connections across Michigan. Drawing on visits with local organizations, educators and community leaders, he encouraged fellow participants to think about the “circles” of care, support and responsibility that connect Spartans to communities across the state.
