10 ComArtSci Students receive the Board of Trustees’ Award

On April 11, two hundred and seventy-one Michigan State University graduates received the Board of Trustees’ Award which recognized their 4.0 GPA. Ten of those students were from the College of Communication Arts and Sciences.  

In addition to receiving this award, the students will be recognized at 2025 spring commencement ceremonies and will receive a cord highlighting their accomplishments.  

The 10 students honored from ComArtSci include:

Toluwalase Awosika, who earned a bachelor’s in communication from the College of Communication Arts and Sciences, is a member of the Honors College from Staten Island, New York.

Soren V. Gerlach, who earned a bachelor’s in games and interactive media from the College of Communication Arts and Sciences and is from Nevada, Ohio.

Samantha L. Hurst, who earned a bachelor’s in digital storytelling from the College of Communication Arts and Sciences and is from Warren, Michigan.

Jenna C. Koch, who earned a bachelor’s in arts and humanities from the Residential College in the Arts and Humanities and in public relations from the College of Communication Arts and Sciences, is from West Bloomfield, Michigan.

Chloe L. Mietelka, who earned a bachelor’s in advertising management from the College of Communication Arts and Sciences, is a member of the Honors College from Jackson, Michigan.

Wanny Ng He, who earned a bachelor’s in advertising creative from the College of Communication Arts and Sciences and is from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Jessica N. Nguyen, who earned a bachelor’s in information science from the College of Communication Arts and Sciences and is from Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Wenqing Shan, who earned a bachelor’s in communication from the College of Communication Arts and Sciences, is a member of the Honors College from Zibo, China.

Cassandra Z. Tallino, who earned a bachelor’s in communicative sciences and disorders from the College of Communication Arts and Sciences and is from Framingham, Massachusetts.

Christiana E. Wagen, who earned a bachelor’s in digital storytelling from the College of Communication Arts and Sciences and is from Mount Horeb, Wisconsin.
