Kari Schueller Lopez, Ph.D., serves as Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education. She provides strategic leadership for undergraduate education, overseeing academic advising, student success, experiential learning, career services and development, undergraduate research, and digital accessibility. She also leads undergraduate curricular processes, partnering with faculty and academic units on program development, curricular review, and governance.
Kari is a two-time alumna of Michigan State University, where she earned her Ph.D. and M.A. in Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education. She also holds a B.A. in Philosophy and Liberal Studies from Grand Valley State University. Her scholarly interests focus on curriculum in higher education, particularly through the lens of faculty perspectives, decision making, and curriculum enactment. Her work is grounded in creating meaningful educational experiences for students, fostering collaboration across the university, and helping students connect their academic experiences with purposeful lives and careers.
Outside of work, Kari enjoys spending time with her family and their energetic goldendoodle, Leo.
