At ComArtsci, diversity, equity, and inclusion are integral to our practice as communicators, storytellers, and innovators. Our contributions to the College, MSU, and beyond are strengthened by our commitment to advancing diverse ways of knowing, communities of knowledge, and background experiences. We strive to attract, recruit, and sustain diverse students, faculty, and staff and to continuously work towards an environment that elevates voices and perspectives to possibilities.
To provide ongoing education and training to support challenging, disrupting, and dismantling systems that reinforce and maintain historical and contemporary social inequalities.
To continuously improve our climate and culture for students, staff, and faculty through inclusion, care, belonging, transparency, and accountability.
To increase our commitment to research, teaching, and service that addresses systemic inequities and advances diversity, equity, and inclusion.
To invest time and resources in the recruitment, retention, and success of students, faculty, and staff from historically marginalized groups.
