General Hours of Operation:

The Hubbard Esports Competition Hub is generally open 12–6 p.m. on weekdays and 3–11 p.m. on Saturdays during the fall and spring semesters.

Play video games at MSU

  • All stations will provide everything you need (keyboards/mice, headsets, controllers, games) —just bring yourself.
  • Available for all students, regardless of major.
  • Open play and walk-in hours during the day (evening reserved for Varsity Esports team.)
  • Opportunities to reserve a station.
  • Two-hour time limit per day (time may be extended, depending on wait time.)

Rules:

To ensure a positive and enjoyable experience for all users, we have established the following rules. Please adhere to these guidelines to maintain a welcoming environment for everyone:

  • Respect Others:
    Treat fellow gamers, staff, and visitors with courtesy and respect. 
    Avoid offensive language, harassment, or any form of discrimination. 
  • Equipment Care:
    Handle gaming equipment, including Alienware computers, peripherals, and accessories, with care. 
    Report any malfunctioning equipment to the staff immediately. 
    Keep the gaming stations clean. 
  • Noise Level:
    Keep noise levels at a reasonable level to maintain a focused gaming atmosphere. 
    Use headphones for personal audio to avoid disturbing others. 
  • Food and Drinks:
    No food allowed in the lounge. 
    Water is allowed in sealed containers kept on the floor away from foot traffic. 
  • Scheduled Playtime:
    Respect the time limits on gaming stations, especially during peak hours. 
    Allow others to use the equipment if there is a waiting list. 
  • Software Usage:
    Only install and use authorized software on the gaming stations. 
    Report any technical issues or concerns to staff promptly. 
  • Internet Usage:
    Use the internet responsibly and avoid accessing inappropriate content. 
    Refrain from engaging in any form of hacking, cheating, or disruptive online behavior. 
  • Community Events:
    Participate in community events and tournaments with a positive attitude. 
    Follow event rules and guidelines set by the Esports Lounge staff. 
  • Hygiene:
    Maintain personal hygiene to ensure a comfortable environment for everyone. 
    Report any issues with cleanliness to the staff. 
  • Emergency Procedures:
    Familiarize yourself with emergency exits and procedures. 
    Follow staff instructions in case of an emergency. 

Violation of these rules may result in temporary or permanent suspension of access to the Hubbard Esports Competition Hub. Thank you for your cooperation.
