School of Journalism to Design Interactive Media Space Experience

The MSU School of Journalism will be collaborating with the Abrams Planetarium, MSU Museum and the MSU Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences on a new space exhibit, funded by an Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) grant.

Stacey Fox, head of Immersive and Alternate Realities for the School of Journalism, will design the media interactive components for the Planetarium’s exhibit space. She has more than two decades of experience researching and creating for national and international museums, including the Smithsonian Institution.

“We come from stardust, we go back to stardust,” said Fox. “The more we understand our universe, the more we understand our place in it. And one of the best ways to start understanding our universe is to just look up at night in our backyards and go visit the Abrams Planetarium.”
