Sophia Villalobos is the current Lingo Lab Manager at Michigan State University. She earned her B.A. from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), where she double-majored in Psychology and Creative Writing and minored in Spanish.
Her research interests center on early language acquisition and language development, with a focus on creating inclusive research that reflects the diversity of real-world communication. At the Lingo Lab, Sophia leads projects investigating speech simplification strategies to support language development in autistic individuals.
