Bio

Matty May is a sales leader at Paramount Advertising, where she leads a team focused on building strong client partnerships and driving growth across today’s media landscape. With more than 30 years of experience in media and advertising sales, Matty has built a career defined by relationship building, adaptability, and a deep understanding of how brands connect with audiences across platforms.

Matty earned her B.A. in Advertising in 1994. Her career began on campus while working for The State News, an experience that sparked her passion for advertising and set the foundation for her future in the industry. Over the course of her career, Matty has held roles at leading organizations, including Turner Broadcasting, DoubleClick, Facebook, and Paramount.

In addition to her work in advertising, Matty is a certified life and leadership coach and a board member for the Chicago Advertising Federation. In addition, she actively supports students through programs such as Women in Communications at Michigan State and the She Runs It mentorship program.

Matty remains deeply connected to Michigan State, where she values the opportunity to give back and help connect current students with alumni. She credits MSU as a driving force behind both her career and personal growth. One of her favorite pieces of advice is simple yet impactful: “Invite one more.” Whether professionally or socially, she believes that including others and expanding your circle can lead to meaningful relationships and unexpected opportunities.

Outside of work, Matty enjoys connecting, reading, exploring Chicago, and following the Cubs and Formula 1 racing. A proud wife, mother of 2, and a lifelong Spartan, she continues to combine her passions in everything she does.
