As brands, marketing and communication challenges continue to relentlessly evolve, Mark remains forward thinking even after a 40-year career. Over this time, he has stewarded well-known regional, national and international brand marketing efforts for some of the world’s most influential brands, including Dodge, Chevrolet, USPS, KFC, Michelin, and dozens of others in automotive, entertainment, QSR, healthcare, consumer goods, and logistics & technology. He began his career as a copywriter, quickly moving to account management, culminating in c-suite leadership roles within Interpublic Group agencies Campbell-Ewald, CE Retail, and FCB. Adding to his MSU ComArtSci degree, he bolstered his business credentials by earning an MBA from the University of Michigan. As a brand consultant, he worked with McCann before returning fulltime to agency life at digital-first agency JRT. From work in four dynamic ad markets - Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit and NYC - Mark has helped guide assignments and campaigns across virtually every paid and unpaid marketing channel and platform, winning multiple Effie and ARF awards for campaign excellence along the way. Working today leading JRT, CG Detroit and Steady Mobb multimedia, Mark continues tackling challenges for brands by acutely understanding audiences and examining new ways to deliver results in today’s nascent AI-propelled marketplace.
