Kimberly Duran Montoya

Kimberly Duran Montoya is the Research Coordinator for the Language Learning Lab at Michigan State University. She graduated in May 2026 from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science, double majoring in Psychology and Gender & Health.

Kim’s research interests include developmental and mental disorders in youth, with a particular focus on creating more inclusive and supportive environments across structural institutions such as education and health care. At the Language Learning Lab, Kim supports a project investigating the impacts of Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) on adolescents within the juvenile justice system.
