Bio

I am Jung-Hsiang (Eric) Hsieh, an Information and Media Taiwanese doctoral student in the School of Journalism. I study the journalist-audience relationship via computer-mediated communication, especially in nations that suffer from anti-press violence.

Prior to joining the 2025 cohort, I earned my Bachelor’s of Arts in Advertising at National Chengchi University (Taiwan), and my Master’s of Research in Communication Design at the Royal College of Art (United Kingdom). I have two years of experience Lab Manager/Research Assistant in Tammy Lin Media Psychology Lab at National Chengchi University, where I conducted Extended Reality research under Humanities Innovative Contents-Driven Taiwan IC Industry: Integrate Virtuality and Reality in a Human-AI Ecosystem.

Lastly, I love to watch all kinds of sports (volleyball, tennis, baseball, basketball, and recently trying to learn how to watch football). I love to eat too, which makes me a good cook.
