Iasmim Amiden dos Santos

Iasmim Amiden dos Santos is a Ph.D. student in the School of Journalism at MSU. She is from Brazil and obtained her BA in Journalism at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (2017) and her MSc in Science Communication and Public Engagement at the University of Edinburgh (UK) (2022) and was awarded a Chevening Scholarship (2021-2022). Her research topics are science communication, environmental communication and environmental journalism, with a special focus on the Pantanal wetland. She was the coordinator of communication and conservation projects in the region for the NGO Ecoa (2017-2021). She is part of the first editorial team of The Conversation Brasil, linked to the global group of news organizations The Conversation, founded in Australia.
