Bio

Darien Harris currently serves as the Director of Player Engagement for the New York Football Giants. Darien was brought into the Giants' organization in August 2025 as a team driver in the areas of player development - personal/professional, culture building, and player/family support. Prior to assuming this role in the NFL, Darien served the MSU athletic department as the Asst. AD for Business Development & NIL Strategy. Originally hired as the first ever Director of Player Engagement in MSU football program history, Darien has spearheaded the outside-of-sport programming for athletes since retiring from playing in the NFL/CFL. A 2015 Journalism graduate and graduate of Eli Broad College of Business’s #1 ranked Master of Science in Marketing Research program in 2019, Darien has been a proud Spartan since 2011. As a four-year letter winner at linebacker for the Michigan State football team, Darien was a part of the winningest senior class in program history, won two Big Ten titles, the 100th Rose Bowl, and the 2015 Cotton Bowl, and played in the 2015 College Football Playoffs serving as one of three team captains for that season. After his career at MSU, Darien suited up professionally for the NFL’s Cincinnati Bengals and the CFL’s Ottawa RedBlacks. Darien and his wife Olivia (fellow ComArtSci grad, class of 2018, Advertising Management) also own Recharged Pilates on Grand River Ave.
