Dr. Darcy Drew Greene is an Associate Professor in the School of Journalism. She has worked as a graphic designer and documentary photographer. She is interested in multimedia storytelling and the many ways in which information can be shared over the web.
She came to MSU in 1984 to teach photojournalism. Over time she has worked with faculty to expand the visual journalism curriculum to include print publication design, online web publishing, as well as print and interactive graphics.
In 2011 she received a HARP grant to do research in Brazil on the work of French photojournalist, Pierre Edouard Leopold Verger(1902-1996). Based on the research, she will travel to Benin, WestAfrica, to re-photograph the places, people and events found inVerger
