Boram (Bo) is a doctoral student in the Department of Media and Information. Her research centers on the macro-level question of how behaviors spread, rather than focusing solely on individual behavioral change. She is particularly interested in the role of digital devices and online platform activities in facilitating the adoption of specific behaviors.
Through this lens, Bo seeks to understand how behaviors and technology innovations—especially those that are often inaccessible to structurally marginalized populations—can be more effectively disseminated to reach them. Her primary methodological approach is survey research, which she complements with agent-based modeling (ABM) to simulate diffusion processes.
Prior to joining MSU, Bo earned her Master of Arts in Communication from Seoul National University in 2023.
