Bio

Hannah is an accessibility consultant, designer, and educator with more than a decade of experience in user experience design, digital accessibility, and inclusive technology. Her work has spanned federal and local government, automotive technology, and the development of accessible digital experiences. She is the founder of Common Threads Consultancy, where she advises Michigan municipalities and public-sector organizations on improving the accessibility of their digital services.

Hannah is a Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) with experience building accessibility programs from the ground up. At General Motors, she created the company's first in-vehicle accessibility program and earned four patents related to inclusive design. She is particularly interested in the ways accessibility intersects with community, care, and ethics.

As an instructor, Hannah brings a practical, real-world perspective to the classroom. Her teaching focuses on compliance and innovation working together to pave the way for better design. She encourages students to think critically about technology, inclusion, and the responsibilities professionals have when designing experiences that affect people's daily lives.

Hannah's work is guided by the belief that design and accessibility are ultimately about diligence to others. Whether consulting with organizations or teaching students, she aims to help others develop the knowledge, empathy, and problem-solving skills needed to create more inclusive digital experiences.
