Taenyun Kim is a doctoral student in the department of Media and Information. He earned his dual bachelor's degree in Psychology and Informatics at Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea (2019) and his master's degree in Interaction Science at the same university (2021).
Taenyun is interested in interdisciplinary fields such as Human-Computer Interaction based on Psychology, Computer Science, and Robotics. He is especially interested in Psychology in the era of information technology (e.g., social media, metaverse, artificial intelligence (AI), and robots) and morality and trust in non-human agents enabled by the advance in technology (e.g., AI and robots). In this sense, he studies whether AI and robots can be trustworthy and moralistic companions or advisors and how humans perceive the trust and morality of machines.
