Matt Davis is the President of Driftwood Leadership which focuses on leadership strategies and inspirational training for organizations and individuals.
He is a member of the Board of Directors for Altria Group, Inc., and a member of the Board for Lake State Railway Company.
He retired from Dow in 2019 as the President of Dow North America and Senior Vice President of Global Corporate Affairs. He was responsible for building strategic partnerships with stakeholders to advance Dow's North America growth agenda and reputation. He also provided global leadership for Dow’s government affairs, public policy, issues management, communications, reputation, and public affairs strategy and actions. He served as a member of Dow’s Executive Leadership Committee and was part of the Company for 32 years.
Matt was named to PR Week’s Power 50 list in 2018 which ranks the most powerful communicators who are tackling PR's toughest challenges. He has been a member of Communications 50, a group composed of fifty leading industry professionals in public relations and communications. He was accredited in Public Relations (APR) from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and is the Past President of the White Pine Chapter of PRSA, and former Board Member of the Houston Chapter of PRSA. He was named to the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame in 2009.
He is President of the Alumni Board for Michigan State University’s College of Communications Arts & Sciences, and in 2018 was named Outstanding Communications Arts and Sciences Alumni.
He holds a B.S. Degree from MSU in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Affairs. He also attended the University of Michigan and Central Michigan University.
