The fourth annual Data Day was held virtually on Jan. 31.
The event brought ComArtSci alumni data experts together to share their experiences and insight from their respective fields.
This year’s panelists were Tina Ienna, Detroit sales manager at Snap, Inc., and Dante Chinni, reporter and data analyst for Wall Street Journal and NBC News, and project director and founder of the American Communities Project (based at MSU).
Kjerstin Thorson, Brandt Endowed Associate Professor of Political Communication, moderated the conversation.
“Our fourth annual Data Day event was a great opportunity to showcase exciting career paths for our students,” Thorson said. “Sharing their own career journeys, Tina and Dante highlighted the value of data skills for students in all areas of the communication arts and sciences.”
