Dr. Wittenbaum’s research interests and publications have focused on cognitive and communication processes in decision-making groups, group performance, and social ostracism. She has served as Associate Editor of Social Influence and on the editorial boards of various journals, such as Group Processes and Intergroup Relations and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes. Her research appears in such journals as Communication Monographs, Communication Research, Human Communication Research, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, and Journal of Experimental Social Psychology. She co-created the Interdisciplinary Network for Group Research (INGRoup), which hosts an annual conference to unite group and team researchers from various nations and disciplines. Her recent work has involved collaboration with MSU’s Toolbox Dialogue Initiative, which builds collaborative capacity for cross-disciplinary teams.
