Spartans Don't Just Play the Game, They Create It

Students and faculty put on their game face, immersing themselves in the experience of gaming at ComArtSci. From VR to empathic games, Spartans don't just play the game. They create it.

The MSU College of Communication Arts and Sciences is home to the number one program in game design and development in the Big Ten, a program that has ranked in the top ten in the U.S. since 2012. Working in GameDev@MSU and the GEL (Games for Entertainment and Learning) Lab, students and faculty are conducting research, creating award-winning games and putting serious games on the map.

The video features designs by makeup artist Michaella Page, a student studying genetics at MSU. Check out her artwork on Instagram: @michpagemakeup
