Bio

Xiaodi obtained a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Communication in Tianjin, China. After working as a Chinese language teacher for English speakers, she decided to further pursue her education in the United States. She completed a master’s degree in the Department of Communication at Michigan State University, and she is currently in the PhD program in the same department.

Research and Teaching

Xiaodi’s research focuses on social influence in a variety of contexts such as intergroup relations, stigma, and health. She is also interested in the role of emotion and culture in message effects.
