Bio

Brandon is a doctoral student in Communication at Michigan State University.  He earned his Bachelor of Science in Communication with an emphasis in Health Communication from Grand Valley State University.  He also earned his Master of Arts in Health and Risk Communication from Michigan State University. 

Brandon has worked with Drs. Silk and Smith on several grant-funded projects related to the communication of breast cancer risk from environmental endocrine disrupting chemicals to motivate precautionary action.

Research and Teaching

Brandon’s research interests lie broadly in the domain of message creation, dissemination, and evaluation. Brandon’s current work focuses on health message repetition and over-exposure and their impact on individual behavior and attitudes.
