Bio

Hello everyone, my name is Amanda Kelly and I am originally from a little town on Long Island, New York. I received my Bachelors and just last week, also my Masters degree from the University of South Florida. Research has held a special place in my heart since the beginning of my undergraduate degree. Upon meeting Dr. Maxfield and being enrolled in his fluency course, stuttering quickly gained another piece of my heart. I have treated fluency clients of varying ages (pre-k to adults) both in person and via teletherapy, participated in Dr. Maxfield's Program for the Advanced Treatment of Stuttering summer program, attended a local NSA meeting, and am eager to participate in even more! During my Masters program I completed a thesis with a focus on older adults who stutter and their health-related quality of life. I knew this was the area I wanted to continue my research focus on and I am incredibly excited to now be doing just that! I am thrilled to now be a fellow Spartan!
