The Department of Communication will host a reception for 400 close friends at this year's National Communication Association (NCA) annual conference in Dallas, Texas, November 17, 2017, at the Dallas Sheraton Hotel. NCA is one of the communication discipline's two largest professional associations, and every year the MSU Department of Communication welcomes and celebrates with its Ph.D., MA and BA graduates, many of whom are faculty at other universities throughout the world. The annual MSU COM reception also attracts potential graduate students and faculty, and friends and invitees of the department, and is hosted by department graduate students, faculty and staff. Department graduate students also host a booth at the NCA Graduate Program Fair, where students can shop for graduate programs and departmental representatives vie for potential applicants.
