Students who study Policy and Society can explore the impacts of technology on all dimensions of society. Students can work closely with policy experts and benefit from frequent guest speakers brought in by the Quello Center. Graduates of this major often go to get their Ph.D. or to work for non-profits, professional and government organizations. Students are encouraged to probe areas where improved policies could help multiple stakeholders. Research in the past has explored the impacts of broadband access, network neutrality, digital literacy, use of AI, cybersecurity, internet governance, digital inequalities, and digital futures.
