In its third year, the Michigan State University Strategic Communication Online M.A. is welcoming a new team member to lead student initiatives for the more than 100 MSU StratCom students.
Daune Rensing adds her 15 years of advising experience to the program. Previously, she worked as an advisor for student-athletes and, most recently, was an advisor for undergraduate students in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences.
As the student success advisor, Rensing will be the students’ go-to person for all-things academics and advising within the program. She also will help create a rich student experience that includes professional networking and connection to university resources.
“I am very excited to be joining the StratCom family, and can’t wait to get to meet all of the amazing students, faculty and alumni involved in the program,” she said. “The assistant dean [at the College of Communication Arts and Sciences] told me about this position and I could not pass up the opportunity to work with such great people focused on the success and well-being of their StratCom graduate students.”
In addition to working for MSU StratCom, Rensing is pursuing her Ph.D. in higher education administration at MSU.
